Swiss Turning

Swiss Turn
Swiss Turning is similar to CNC turning. The main difference is that the material is fed through a guide bushing that firmly holds the stock in close proximity to the cutting tool, this allows the machine to make incredibly accurate parts. Additionally, our swiss lathes have live tooling that allows us to mill and drill the round parts to add shape features and/or cross-drilled holes and slots. The main disadvantage to swiss turning is the limitation on the part diameter because the entire bar of raw material is spinning at a high RPM .
We have 3 Swiss Lathes with a capacity of 16mm, 20mm, and 32mm (5/8",3/4", and 1-1/4").

At FP&M we like swiss turning, and the more parts per order the better. We look forward to hearing about your project!
